ringing it in

the kids rang in the new year at grandpa and grandma's.

i hear they had fun and i heard cayden was either too cool for the festivities or, he crashed at 11:55.

we weren't there because we were here.

the century theater at union park.  have you been there? it's really not the greatest theater but, it's where we went because we were feeling crazy and decided to make it a night of movies.  it was fun.

first we saw "the fighter" and then we went straight into "black swan."  they were both really good.  i think i liked the first movie best because i didn't feel as confused after it ended.  i need to see "black swan" again.  it was one of those movie.

i just love dating my husband.  he's seriously, for reals, 100% the funnest person i know.  most fun?  funnest?  funniest for sure.  we think we're pretty dang funny.  it's funny.

the next day, craig and jake went on a man date to see "true grit."  they said it was good.  i'm a fan of jeff bridges even though jake kept calling him jeff daniels when he was telling me about the movie.  i could not help but to think of harry from dumb and dumber.  he just doesn't fit the "true grit" type of character.

since i'm talking movies, i'll give mention to the treadmill movie of the day.  i wanted to run at lest 8 miles which is tough stuff on the treadmill.  i'm afraid i'll die of boredom so i rent movies.  i've watched some decent films but today's movie, "wild grass," was something else.  i still have no idea what happened in that movie.  it's a foreign film and had some okay reviews so i thought i'd give it a whirl.  i'm still really confused.  i hope someone else has watched it.  if not, i hope someone will simply so i can sit down and ask all the questions i'm asking no one.  

so odd.
