christmas!

it's the most wonderful time of the year.

santa came as we hope he'll do every year. (phew)

we told my parents to come to the house at 7:30.  this is the third year we've had to wake the kids up.  ironic because they won't sleep in past 7:00 any other day of the year.

here they go ...
checking out their stockings.

molly gets right into the action.  don't worry, santa brought her some of her favorite treats.

tearing into their presents.

santa brought gavin some "vintage" thundercats figurines aka "guys."  i think jake was more excited about them then gavin was.

cayden won't ever pose for the camera.  he received some cool things from santa too.

brooklyn was thrilled with the much coveted american girl doll.  they look exactly the same. i swear it.  just for fun, i took a picture of the backs of them the other day after she had me braid "their" hair.

we spend christmas evening at my parents house where we exchange MORE gifts and eat the most delicious dinner prepared by my wonderful mother.

it's like it never ends!!  THE BEST DAY EVER!

i failed to shoot very many photos.  i forgot the camera which ended up not being a very good excuse because guess why!? (i know you all know already but still ..), my parents gave me a new canon rebel digital slr!  i don't even know if that's what i should call it so i'll just stick to the "kick ass camera i've been dreaming of having for years!"  i took a picture of myself taking a picture of myself.

i took a picture of trav.  in fact, this very picture of trav was the very first picture i took.  an honor.

of josh and vlada.

of the beautiful lindsay with her lovely and "matchy" lily.

my dad in a moment of happiness with his grandson.

the kids wrestling in the formal living room.

i took a photo of the table cloth i had made for my moms awkwardly sized table.
this was probably my proudest gift given this year.  this and the portrait i had painted for josh.

the portrait :: axl

my handsome and goofy baby.

and our christmas card door.

then i took a picture of christmas being put away. practice makes perfect, right?

and molly .... how could i forget about molly?

i'm going to be taking a lot of pictures.  consider that a warning.

thank you mom and dad for spoiling us too.  we don't deserve it.  we wish we could reciprocate.  we are so very, very grateful for all you do.

and, that's christmas with the moores, BLOGGED!

xoxo
