janathon
the husband played with "sports" mode on my canon eos rebel t1i ef-s 18-55 is. does that mean anything to you? me neither. i don't know anything about cameras. i need to learn more. where can i learn more?
anyway, he came down on new years eve and took pictures of me running. i had the flu.
interesting that i wrote several christmas posts and failed to mention one time that every person in this house suffered through the flu during our breakcation. it was sad. the only year we didn't get flu shots. gavin tested positive on christmas eve at which time it was determined cayden had been suffering from the same the previous weekend. so sick. the smart doctor said we all needed to start on tamiflu in order to get through the christmas weekend. tamiflu is expensive. i slept nearly all day on christmas and felt horrible the following week.
funny i didn't mention this.
family resolution #1
- get flu shots this year.
i had the flu but i ran four miles because i wanted to have a "last run of 2010." it was important to me. i'm glad i did. today i added the weights in again. i've been feeling a little soft and a lot weak. the only solution is to pump iron. i really did just say that.
about the janathon now. the janathon sounded like something i might like to do but, i didn't run the first or the second day of this month so i worried it might be too late to sign up. my friend chris told me about it. she lives in the netherlands and runs on the beach with her dog odie like it's no big deal. she signed up for the janathon and her enthusiasm is contagious. enthusiasm is contagious.
anyway, i didn't sign up and i think i probably won't because i have a good thing going. i don't think i need any more external motivators to get up and move but, maybe some of you might like to look into it? 30 minutes of exercise every day for the month of january. then you blog about it. easy enough, right?
just a suggestion.
family resolution #2
- potty train the baby who is no longer a baby.
it's totally my fault he's not potty trained. he does okay. he'll go number one in the toilet, no problem but, the number two is a real problem. we're going to do this. no more messing around. pooping is not scary. i've got to figure out a way to convince him of this. (bribery does not work with him. damn).
there's two. two resolutions out of .. many? maybe.

I'm so impressed and secretly hate that you ran while you had the flu.
