in love with the weekend
it's been the perfect weekend.
how did i get to be such a lucky girl?
i get to be married to a man who i just can't get enough of. we got to celebrate our anniversary and even though this picture wasn't taken this weekend, my hand spent a lot of time on his knee the last few days, just like that.

on friday we had dinner at market street and then enjoyed a movie down town. we stayed up late and slept in late-ish enjoying the quite house. thanks to my mom for taking care of our offspring so we could do these things.
after taking our time in the morning, doing whatever the hell we wanted to do, we took off and spent the rest of the day shopping for santa. trav and linds joined us for another trip to provo where we remained just as lost as the last time we were there together. linds and i wanted to visit the bjiou market and i was excited to grab a bite to eat from a pizza place i'd heard about. after the market, (where the boys stood around like a couple of fish out of water amongst a swarm of "boot wearing" women) we hit blikenstaffs toy store where we picked up some super cool stuff and then we drove around in circles looking for pizzeria 712. found it in the oddest location and then learned they don't serve lunch on saturdays. ummm ... okay? sigh. fail. again.
the husband and i have sort of made it a tradition to get our christmas shopping done while we're celebrating our anniversary and therefore, childless. this year was no exception and, we rocked the shopping like one would expect us to. seriously. we are so close to being done and it's not even december.
slap five!
awesomeness continued into today when, we woke to the remnants of an impressive snow storm from the night before. by 8:30, the kids were outside frolicking as they should be. gavin moved a little slower than the rest. i documented the process of dressing for the weather.
name that movie.
once he was down, he couldn't get back up. cayd tried very hard to be mature and not point his finger and laugh.
helping others makes you feel good inside.
step cautiously.
i sipped on my coffee and watched a little of this. mmm-mmm-good.
at some point he came in without a boot and one soaked sock. apparently his boot fell off but he just kept playing. rosy cheeks and a snotty nose called for a mug of hot chocolate while he watched his favorite show, tom & jerry on the "teebee."
winter is here. i'm resisting the urge to bust out the christmas decorations. only a few more days.
wahoo.
