decked the halls

i know it's dorky but, i can't help myself.
i want to post some bits of the decking around our halls.
mostly because one day i'll make my blog into a book for the kids and they might like to see these photos just like i love to see this photo of my room as a girl.

marcus showed up yesterday morning.  can you spot him?

my village is weak compared to my moms but, the kids love it.

our "candy" tree

this year i thought it might be fun to get a christmas blanket for the kids to take turns sleeping with every night until christmas.  the idea is it will bring christmas dreams.  cayden was the first to try it out last night.  he asked me if it would really work and i told him i didn't know, he'll be the first to find out.  he said, "because i usually have dreams about people trying to kill me."  awesome.

hopefully it worked. i forgot to ask.

over the summer i found this pink tree at a garage sale for $5.
she loves it! perfect for all of the ornaments grandma linda has given her over the years.  the boys have their own tree down in the toy room.

As usual, you are right on top of getting everything ready for the holidays. I truly wanted to get my tree up this year right after Thanksgiving, but alas, no such luck. Love the pink tree. Can't wait to hear about the Christmas dreams.

I'm impressed. Our halls are definitely not decked yet. Saturday we will get our tree, decorate and sip hot cocoa. I'm looking forward to it:)

I now have a pink running hat, which I will forever think of as my own little pink Christmas tree. Your decorations are overflowing with love. Lucky kids you have!
