sadly the weekend ended

our thanksgiving was nice.

gavin thought it especially cool to sit at the table like a big boy. my mom had it set so cute giving the kids their own special place. here gavin shows me his plate.

i always feel grateful to be able to see my grandma. she doesn't hear well, especially in a noisy room so holding a conversation can be difficult but her company is always special.

here is a photo of some estrogen and josh looking like a vampire in the background.

new moon really had an effect on josh. somehow he snuck in with us girls to see it the night before. i was so incredibly disappointed. not that josh came, he's great, but because the movie sucked in a major way. we laughed our way through the entire thing. i am shocked at how many people loved it and even more shocked over how many people thought it was better than the first. your taste is in your mouth .... that's what my dad would say.

the worst acting in the history of the world. the cast joins the ranks of drew barrymore and keanu reeves. "things are about to get very ugly ..."

anyway. now on to christmas. my fav. we were spoiled (again) with an early christmas gift from my parents. they brought us a new garage door opener over the weekend! for almost a year we've been manually opening and closing our garage. if i cared about what my neighbors thought, i would have been embarrassed. buying a new opener just wasn't a priority when it broke. eating seemed to be a little more important! i can't even believe how luxurious it feels to pull out of the garage and push a button to have it shut. even the kids are shocked over the technology and clap their hands.

happy holidays!

I love the picture of the girls, to bad we didn't think to add mom, grandma and aunt julie. it was fun to spend thanksgiving all together. the picture of you and grandma is just priceless.

I have to say I agree on the movie, it wasn't as good as the first movie was.

Josh totally looks like a vampire! How funny! Oh Em, I love you. I hated New Moon too and you're the only other person I've met that agrees with me. You are truly my sister from another mister. Love the kids plates, by the way. Happy holidays:0)

i cant think of one line to quote that was so terrible from edward because i was so focused on the long pauses in between the words...
i am really excited that i dont have to get out of the car and close the garage for you. :)

LOL!!!!! My friends all agreed with what Lindsay said, but I didn't seem to notice. And I do have to say it was better than Twilight, but I didn't think that was hard. The acting was defiantly bad in parts. The screaming dreams, and EDWARD, and the werewolfs too, but I still loved it. I really just hate Robert Pattinson.

Glad your Thanksgiving was good!
ya, I kinda agree with you about the movie, not my favorite, and kinda loooong or maybe not long just a little boring.

My favorite part of the movie was when Jacob - not my son, but I'm sure the same thing would happen - took off his shirt. The audible sigh in the theater from all the teenage girls was more than I could stand. I was laughing so hard that I got dirty looks.
