baby it's cold outside

winter is definitely here. we took advantage of the first snow storm and went sledding. memories were made early for the year. now we can stay in by the fire.

speaking of the fire, i'm thankful for ours after having been without a working heater since saturday. keeping my fingers crossed that this will change today so that i can sleep at night instead of lying there awake waiting for the fire alarm to go off from all the space heaters.

and speaking of being thankful, i'm happy this week is a "short" one for jake. happy thanksgiving! there's a lot that i'm thankful for. i'm pretty sure i could never express my gratitude as well as i'd like to be able to but i will try as soon as i can type without my fingers feeling like ice.

for now, here are a few important people i'm thankful for. on the way to the hill. yes, they're all wearing their seat belts, you just can't see them. invisible seat belts are the best.
