draper park

i love, love, love draper park.  have you been?

we go often during the summer.  set up a little spot for a picnic and the kids will leave me be to read for a good solid hour while they play on one of three playgrounds.

i love the huge trees offering generous amounts of shade from the hot summer sun.  here brooklyn and her dear friend berkley model how large this tree actually is.  see the table, i sat there, reading my book, enjoying the slight breeze and listening to the birds chirp.  thinking to myself "i love today"  then, i got pooped on.  stupid bird.  jake says they're revolting against me after i barbecued their leader.

so there's shade and playgrounds and swings and bathrooms and drinking fountains. all great but the best part?  the best part is this playground i stick gavin in with walls too high for him to crawl out on his own.  he thinks the train is real and i think it's a great babysitter.

the playgrounds are all unique unlike what we have out in herriman.  the girls twirl around on this twirl around thing and the boys find the only sprinklers on in the park.  it was a nice day.  the drive back was a little loud but great birth control.  five kids is too many fo' sho'!

that may be "your lake" but this is "our park!" I think my favorite is the playground that when you look closely you realize it is actually a gym! i have taken many walks through this park....i whole-heartedly agree, its a good one
