ten toes to thank
no need to wonder if it's weird that i'm posting a picture of my feet. it is weird. i'm fully aware of this fact.
earlier this week i signed up for a three month wellness challenge. it's a simple concept really; earn points for taking care of yourself. for the most part, i already do all of the things i'm supposed to do for this challenge but there are a few areas i'd like to improve upon like setting specific daily goals. of course, i set goals every day but i want to be more aware of the type of goals i'm setting and add something each day that benefits someone other than myself in a way they'll enjoy. this week; rub jakes feet at night. he seems to be enjoying it. naturally.
another one of the ways to earn points is to express specific appreciation for something each day.
another way; write in a journal (aka blog). easy enough, right?
so today, i'm sending a shout out to my feet. they took a beating yesterday during my run. as i laid with my legs up the wall, like i do after every long run, i stared up at my feet wanting to give them a little side hug for not letting me down. for ten miles they ached but they never stopped providing the support i needed.
i try to treat them well. i buy new shoes often, i wear special socks, i use fancy insoles and pads for my bones. i massage and exfoliate. clip and polish. treat others how you'd like to be treated, right? thanks for this great bit of advice dad. he was so adamant about drilling this idea into my head that i still believe my car runs better after i wash it.
that's all for today. there are other more important things i could blog about but, time is precious.
for now, thank you feet. we have a big day on saturday. keep up the good work.
loves,
em

LOL. I was a little shocked at the feet rubbing part too, but Seth also has nice feet, so I get it.
