i really can't stay .... i've got to go away ....

express specific appreciation, love or praise

it's a little harder today than i'd like to admit.   the day was welcomed with that i-puked-my-guts-out hungover feeling and then my first encounter was an unpleasant mess in the hall bathroom.  kids.  kids are so gross sometimes.

walk into the kitchen and there are three children sitting at the counter waiting for their servant to make them breakfast.  open the blinds and what did i see?  no, not popcorn popping on the apricot tree, SNOW.  snow in may, almost june.  am i surprised? no, i live in utah.  it snows here but for reals, in may?  give us a break.  where is the sun?

oh, have a mentioned i haven't taken my medication for two days?  i didn't see the point considering everything i put in came right back out.

needless to say, i feel tired, grumpy and cold.  searching for something to say "i appreciate you" to.  it won't be brooklyn's disaster of a bedroom, three dirty bathrooms or kids who already aren't getting along despite my attempts at bribery.

what will it be?

how about i appreciate the things i can look forward to today.  specifically, a little personal yoga session and later this week, a mini 'vaca'.  if the sun won't come to us, we'll go to the sun.

happy monday?!

{photo: sister in law gave me this cute little plant for mothers day.  i didn't want it to die but i don't have a pot so i put it out back to enjoy the sun.  now i feel guilty.  look at that poor plant.}

Blah! So sorry you haven't been feeling well. That sucks. I would also like to know where the sun is. This crazy weather isn't making much sense.

So sorry you don't feel good. Have a fun mini vac this weekend, it sounds like you need and deserve it.

this post made me laugh so hard. I think it was the popcorn popping on the apricot tree part. I don't know, but it was funny. (Not that you are sick)

I was going to make your wheat bread recipe today, but then I saw that it called for TWELVE cups of wheat flour! We don't have a pantry, and I don't have room for that much flour! Ha! I'm going to make it sometime though!
