we enjoyed a lovely hike last weekend and spent the evening around the campfire roasting hotdogs and s'mores.  the weather and the company were perfect!

our fire-starting eagle scout aka my man (pretend he's not holding a lighter) and gavin drinking his "root beard"

brooklyn handed her roasting stick to jake and said "hold my weener" ... snicker, heehee.  we laughed like school kids.

my "perfect s'more" cooking process.  too bad none of us really likes s'mores all that much.  i make one heck of a s'more.

this weekend we headed up to east canyon to celebrate my dads birthday.  we missed the fall leaves but barely, the views were still spectacular and the sunset on the way home was breathtaking.  i wish these photos did both justice but, they'll have to do.

yes, the most beautiful time of year indeed.
