internetless
is that a word?
if it's not, it should be. it should because that's exactly what i've been for the last five days. internetless.
i love the internet. it provides, for me, quality entertainment that does not require visiting the gas station or use of the debit card. it keeps me sane. without it, all i'm left with is a long list of other things i could be doing like, clean the blinds and the windows (yuck) or pick up three months worth of dog poop in the back yard (double yuck). yesterday i spent three hours cleaning the car and still didn't find the lego star wars game for the cayden's ds. the car can only be so clean. right?
and so, you can imagine my delight when jake kissed me goodbye this morning and sang "the internet is working." oh, internet. i love you. and you too, honey.
so here i am, on the internet. waiting for jake to come in and tell me to get off so he can figure out what's really wrong with our computer because while we do have our connection back, all of our programs are gone. fair trade if you ask me. a girl can only expect so much out of life. but for him, this means itunes is gone too and this is bad, really bad.
it's late and brooklyn still needs her hair washed so i'll wrap this up by saying a few things that i feel are important. first, my daily dish is updated. check it out. second, my super smart husband passed his final exam on saturday and is now a commercial journeyman electrician. this means a nice raise for him at work and some relief for us. phew. i will still need to work on mastering the art of coupon shopping and maintain a very strict budget but i feel confident that i will be able to drive from point A to point B without running out of gas. i might even dare myself to leave the house every now and go farther than the elementary school. we'll see.
good things are happening all around us. i'm so happy we're included. i hope our internet connection will continue to be included too. only time will tell.
