happenings

we've been busy with a lot of things worth mentioning.

first, as you know, jon and natalie were married the weekend before last. it was a busy weekend spent in the company of lots of great people. drew and sarah arrived early so that sarah could spend three days straight baking the wedding cake. the most help i was able to offer was to lend my kitchen. otherwise, i just lurked and admired her work. oh! and i ate way too much cake batter and icing. it was delish!

{here you see aunt carol making b feel useful and look how cute chef sarah is. she had the cutest aprons on all weekend}
the morning of the big day we arrived late (as usual) to meet the family for brunch. it was here that baby met abby.

they weren't so sure about each other but they did manage a joint effort in making a nice mess for someone to clean up afterward.

unfortunately, it poured rain most of the day and jon and natalie ended up with a lot of umbrellas in all of their pictures at the temple but it didn't stop them from smiling.

the kids didn't seem to mind the rain either

i didn't take my camera out much. i only have one shot at the reception. i hope to be able to purchase some photo's from the professional photographer. i think she got some great shots. i'm excited to see them. for now, here's one of my handsome boys ...

in between the wedding festivities we've been spending a lot of time at the baseball field watching c play and husband coach. c is number "6" because he's six years old ... just a coincidence really, he didn't have a choice ...

this past saturday we headed up to lagoon to watch b perform the dance she's been learning all year. she was very focused and (i think) excited. i was a little bummed to realize that only one other girl from her class (her best friend) had signed up for the competition. luckily it didn't phase them to be the only ones on stage. they were perfect dancing to the song "best friends" ...

after the dance we stayed the remainder of the day and night to catch all the rides with both grandma's and grandpa's. it was a fun time ...

mother's day was great too ... i always love to be with my family. unfortunately, if my mother-in-law isn't around to take pictures, i never end up in any ... here's the father of my children on mother's day ...

i hope all you all enjoyed mother's day too!

Looks like you guys have been busy! I love all the pics. Your kids are adorable.

The pictures of Brooklyn in a tutu gave me flashbacks to the year that our moms put us in Miss Margene's School of Creative Dance! Haha. I had almost forgotten about that :)
I love the boys in their tuxedos. Very cute!!

Brooklyn looks so cute in that costume. Don't you love watching your kids do stuff like that? I do!

In answer to your questions, running the marathon was great, and you should totally do it. Training took some time to be sure, but I had a pretty good setup. I ran it with a friend of mine, and we did most of our training runs together. She lives so close we went out mostly early mornings before our kids woke up. Saturday, long run day, required a lot of patience and dedication from our husbands as we were gone for about 2-4 hours every sat morning.

It will consume your life for about 3 months, but the reward is pretty cool.

Sorry this is such a long comment, email me if you want to know anything else!

You look great by the way!

Fun happenings for sure! Your kids are adorable...definately worth blogging about:0) I am amazed that Brooklyn was brave enought to dance on stage with her best friend. That would have been great to see.
