gingerbread man

There is a gingerbread man on the loose at C's school and "he's real mom, the lunch lady saw him and my friend saw his shadow when we were running to catch him."

If only you could have seen his face when he was telling me this. I cannot remember the last time I was so excited about something.

I said "are you sure C, cause' that's a really big deal to have a gingerbread man loose in your school?"

and he said ... "actually, I think that lunch lady ate him because we made him and now he's gone. I didn't see his shadow"
