thou shalt not covet but though doth

is that how i would say that if i wanted to say that?

do you have a bucket list?

me neither.

but, i do have a list of all the things i want to learn how to do before i .....

it's overwhelmingly long.

i also have a list of things i want.  not things i need.  just the things i want.  like a materialistic brat who "wants" everything.

it's too long too.

how about i share a few for the sake of random posting?

okay.

i want to learn how to quilt so i can make something like this
{found here}

i also would love to learn how to sew so i can make skirts for my daughter out of my old skirts i no longer wear.  okay so, i don't wear skirts but, still.

{found here again.  she's actually quite amazing.  i even made her carrot tomato soup the other night}

and then, and then {double time} i would like to be able to stop regretting having not listened very well in pottery class.  because if i had listened, maybe i'd be able to make myself lots and lots of these

{found here}

one day i'll learn how to design graphics on the computer so i can make something like this to hang in my family room as a reminder for all of us

{found here}

what would be just as cool is if i had enough extra dough to blow on these sorts of things.  then i would just buy them and not worry about expanding my horizons.

i'd buy them all and more things too.
lots and lots of things like these:

a new purse.  i haven't had a new purse since my birthday in 2007.  i know, right?!
{found here}

and then i'd buy this hoodie because i LUV it!

{found here}

maybe some nice earrings that don't leave my ears horribly infected or a new bra that fits.  that would be comfortable.

can you tell i love etsy?  cause, i really, really lurv etsy.  i think it's especially neat because people can make things in their homes and then sell them from the couch.  mostly though, i just think it's neat that people can make things.

there are things i'd buy for my kitchen.  lots and lots of things i'd buy before i bought a new dishwasher.  that's how much i'd love to have these things.

like a le creuste stock pot

or some matching place mats.  that would be fun.
i can do without matching tableware.  for now.

how about an apron?  just because.

{found here}

oh, the list is long.

maybe some wealthy person will read this post right after they wonder "what on earth am i going to do with all this money?"  wouldn't that be cool?

in the meantime, if you have any of this stuff, don't tell me about it.  i'm not the kind of friend who will be happy for you.

if you don't have any of this stuff but you go buy it because i just gave you the idea then, i de-friend you.  teasin'. ... i would never do that but you could expect me to spend a lot of time at your house wearing your clothes, admiring your art and cooking with your pots.

that's all.

happy friday friends! (all two of you)

You. Make. Me. Smile.

And then you make me

Laugh. Out. Loud.

I hope I am one of your two friends, because you're cool. So am I.

Oh, and I have NONE of those things.

But I do own an etsy shop:)

We should take a pottery class. I've been wanting to get back into it. And I also want to learn Kung Fu. Let me know if your interested or if you'd be interested in letting me practice on you. The Kung fu not the pottery cause that would just be weird.

you always make me smile. i too love window shopping from my computer. think of it this way- if you had everything you wanted then what? it is fun to dream, right? those dreams keep us grounded- keep us creative. be happy you can't have it all and be happy - like i am- that you can post beautiful pictures of beautiful things on your blog- and in that small way -you DO own them.
by-the-way the word verification for this post is really funny:
nonked

one more thing
you should try fibbing on your blog- just for fun. post a picture of something you really want and say something like, " so excited to show off this new.... that i just bought..." describe it in detail down to the smell and the way it totally turned your husband on ( even if it is a big pot). then enjoy the envious and adoring comments that pour in. such as " oh emily, it is lovely i wish i had one you are so lucky..." . that way you get most of the perks of actually buying something ( bragging about it, showing it off and then recieving compliments on it) .
I think i might have to try this myself . but i will have to wait long enough sothat you forget what i am up to.
if i comment again you will know that indeed my husband continued watching sports and i continued to be bored

word verification this time:
sholoti
might become my new cus word of choice
"OH SHOLOTI"
i like it
