summer lovin'
we're having a blast and living it up as much as possible
visits to the park :: sno cones :: cuddling = love
the kids love to test their hand size in the sidewalk prints at grandpa and grandma's. they were made by my brothers and i when our house was being built. i was in the 5th grade. even our little taffy has a paw print next to cayden's hand.
we've laid on big blankets under big trees at big parks.
ahhem. hunk.
we've acknowledged and appreciated amazing sunsets.
my brother's dog axl. he comes to barbecue's at my mom and dads. he brings his abnormally long tongue with him.
our holiday weekend was fantastic with sparklers and fireworks
blur is cool.
we even made it to the pool one day
ahem. hunk.
the boys make muddle puddles and leave popsicle sticks laying all over.
last friday i enjoyed a rooftop concert with my love.
local artists put on the beatles "abbey road" album. it was surprisingly superb.
ahem. hunk.
the kids started swim lessons. this is my baby's first go around. i can't get over how big he is. sniffle.
bro and sister in law hosted a birthday barbecue at the park. it was a smashing good time. my favorite part was playing a competitive game of kick ball. boys against girls. they had an unfair advantage because our fourth player wouldn't stop doing cartwheels and handstands int he outfield.
sissy pets the horses from a nearby farm.
mom loves her summer jumpers.
i came upon and idea for summer penpal kits from a blog i enjoy reading. the kids wanted to write to their cousins (twice removed?) in st. george. turns out it was the best idea ever. they check the mailbox frequently and are pleased as punch when there's a letter waiting for them. i'm thrilled they're writing and reading without being asked to.
first we made kits for their pen pals inviting them to write back and forth over the summer.
then their pen pals sent kits back and the writing commenced.
needless to say, we've been enjoying life and plan on continuing to soak in the summer for at least a couple of more weeks. the new school year starts soon but, we're not thinking about that just yet.
xoxo

Love you all so much,
Grandma Linda
O.K., that dog has the longest tongue ever. Too funny!
It's so great to see a woman that still thinks her man is a hunk. Even after all these years. I feel the same about my guy. Man, if we could get together we would be in the midst of a regular hunk fest:)
