practice makes perfect
on monday my girl had her last private lesson with her tumbling coach. after a lot of hard work, sweat, tears and stretching, she was finally given the thumbs up to move into an actual class. she's excited because she gets to meet new friends, learn new things and not have to be drilled one on one for 30 minutes straight and i'm excited because it's nearly half the price for twice the number of lessons.
normally, i sit out in the car while she gets the beat down. her coach does not like parents in the room. too distracting i guess. however, since this was her last lesson, i asked if i could stay. just to see how she is doing.

let me tell you, after about 10 minutes, i wanted pick her up, cradle her like an infant and carry her out the door! i could not believe how hard she works in that small period of time. i knew my girl was strong but seriously, i had no idea just how strong she really is.
back and forth, back and forth, up and down, up and down. she was bright red in the face and sweating like crazy. but she didn't pause, not even for a second and she did everything her coach asked her to do.
gosh, i was proud.
it will be exciting to see her progress as goes more frequently. mostly, she just wants to be able to do a back handspring and an ariel. so she can keep up at recess. at least her priorities are straight.
way to go sissy!
p.s. i've been doing some work over on my foodie/fitness blog so if you haven't been over there in awhile, go check it out. please.
