super punk
my mother-in-law doesn't like name calling (she's nice like that) so i'm seriously considering having cayden's name changed to super punk. because he is.
my super punk.
he's like another world wonder. never a dull moment.
his motto/slogan/catch phrase/whatever you want to call it would most definitely be i do everything! with big tears running down his face.
cayden, brush your teeth. i do everything! cayden, let molly in please. i do everything! cayden, your baby brother is about to fall off the top of that slide and you're sitting right next to him, please grab him. i do everything!!
okay, so that last one was maybe a small exaggeration but you get the point .... he does everything.
one day, it's likely that he'll have offspring of his own. i'm betting that he'll also have a child that will push his buttons in such a way that he'll shed tears. then he'll have proof that he was also a super punk because right now, i'm writing it down.
side note; i love my super punk.
he finished off his wrestling season with a tournament at brighton. he placed fourth in his bracket which consisted of four kids. he did not want to be there. he did not try to wrestle hard. he was really proud of his medal and anxiously awaiting a pop-tart from the vending machine which he was promised after he finished his match(es).
despite knowing he is completely uninterested in any type of physical activity, he will not be allowed to quit. i am hoping he will understand why later in life. i'm also hoping i'm not wrong about the "why."
throughout the entire wrestling season he complained that he just wanted to play baseball.
baseball started last week. tonight is his second practice. jake told him last night about practice today and he said ugh! i hate practice. i have to do everything! okay, maybe he didn't say that last part but i wouldn't be surprised.
super punk.
super punk just lost his seventh tooth. he shared his treats with everyone (only after a little coaxing).
he had parent teacher conferences a week or so ago. i left that gym so very proud of my super punk. he's reading on a third grade level. he has the highest goal for rocket math in his class and he's be-friended the one kid in class who no one else would play with.
he came home from school the other day and told me he needed a dollar because he convinced one of the girls in his class to give him two of her good bucks for one (of my) dollar(s). he put the dollar in his backpack and when i dropped him off the next morning he walked right up to that girl and kept his promise.
he's not very gentle and he's usually really loud but he's a good boy.
he's pretty dang amazing considering how much he has to do around here.
i lay in bed at night secretly dreaming of the day i get to meet his super punk and spoil him/her rotten.
